“Banatul” Professional Folkloric Ensemble has a long and very rich history, dating from 1970 and it is the solely professional folkloric group from the Western part of Romania. It has also an orchestra (with traditional Romanian instruments and some classical instruments) and a folkloric dance group (the ballet group has 12 pairs of dancers and a choreographer).

“Banatul” Professional Folkloric Ensemble valorizes the richness of Banat folklore areas but also, at demand, it can perform scenes from various ethnographic Romanian regions and also proximity ethical folklore. The cultural offer emphasizes the songs and dances from Banat, Ardeal, Maramureş, Oltenia, Moldova; thematic scenes with Banat customs, comic folkloric scenes, songs and dances of ethnical Banat folklore; café concert music, carols, traditional urban songs; artistic programs for parties.
